poll.jpgSchon vor etwas laengerer Zeit habe ich recht interessante Umfrage-Ergebnisse aus den USA gefunden. Vor allem die Schlussfolgerungen sind beachtlich.

Zogby: Based on what you know about Iran’s development of a Nuclear Program, how supportive are you of a US military strike to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon? (52%)

Gallup: Suppose U.S. economic and diplomatic efforts do not work. If that happens, do you think the United States should - or should not - take military action against Iran? (46%)

CNN: If the U.S. government decides to take military action in Iran, would you favor or oppose it? (28%)

Note this: When Gallup asked about military action with no mention of failure of the diplomatic efforts, only 18% supported it. CNN did not mention the two possibilities, just asked about action, and one can assume that most of the responders reasonably thought they mean now. Also, CNN didn’t say anything about nuclear program, which Zogby did. So here is the real meaning of these combined three polls:

Attack now? No. Why now? We want diplomacy first and do not trust Bush.
